Geneva Switzerland Marriott Hotel

Marriott International has announced that it has signed an agreement with Mario Julen to bring the Ritz-Carlton brand to Zermatt, opening the world's first luxury hotel of its kind in Geneva, Switzerland. The 69-guest hotel is expected to open in 2026 and will bring its legendary service and elegant design to this world-famous Swiss holiday destination. It will be the first of its kind in Switzerland and the second Ritz Carlton hotel outside Switzerland to be added to the brand's flagship at the Grand Hotel Geneva in Geneva.

The Grand Hotel Suisse Majestic will complete the Marriot Autograph Collection with a contract signed in 2017 and the Hotel Atlantic Hamburg, which is also part of Broermann Health Heritage Hotels. Berne follows, while the first Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Zermatt will open in Basel - Grindelwald in 2026. The partnership between Marriott International and Mario Julen, a global partner that owns the other, will begin with the construction of a new hotel, the Grand Hotel Geneva in Geneva, in 2020.
