The Cathedrae St Pierre, whose beginnings go as far back as 1160, has experienced numerous setbacks and transformations in its history. It is known as the Cathedral where John preached in the 15th century. At the time of the Reformation, the Cathedral was stripped of its altars, statues, paintings and furniture, and only the stained glass windows remained.
